Cannon Beach is anchored on the north and south by large basalt rocks technically known as “sea stacks”. One of my favorite places to be as the sun begins to rise is on the sand beside the ocean. Every rock of size has been given a name often because it resembles something or someone. Here from left to right are Lincoln, Silver Point, Jockey’s Cap, and Lady Rocks.
