The main reason I'm here on the North Coast is the world class left point break in Seaside, Oregon known simply as "The Point". I like to tell people "I just came here to go surfing". It's true, I did and just stayed. This is the view I see climbing up Kopra's cliff headed for home at sunset.

Anyone who surfs knows the challenge of getting that one last wave as daylight fades. You hate to give up and ride anything less than a good wave thus ending your surf session on a positive note. The only thing worse is having to paddle in because it's so dark you can't see what you are catching. Not a good option on this boulder strewn beach.
