There are places in the world that are known for the "light" as artists say. Truthfully everywhere has a wonderful variety of lighting conditions and the north coast certainly does as well. That light is often a large part of what inspires a painting. I was after that mix of gray and green that is identifiable as truly a Northwest pallet and light.
