This painting was left in its simplest form because frankly it reminded me of being in the ocean on a calm gray day. Now don't get me wrong, I love the sun and the way it makes colors pop on everything it illuminates, but I love the gray too. In watercolor there are times when special, somewhat unplanned things happen. I didn't fight the direction the medium went but tried to keep it in balance while leaving the viewer room to fill in the details.
