By The Bay

There are some things in our lives that seem to be buried deep in our DNA. In my case it’s a love of salty air and the smell of tide flats I inherited from my dad who grew up on Puget Sound. He built his first sailboat when he was a young teenager and worked on a tugboat before touring the South Pacific courtesy of the US Navy. He passed earlier this year at nearly 98 after a life well lived! To us Hulls, places like this are a sweet smelling reminder that shouts peacefulness and solitude, something we all need in this crazy world.
