Caught In Sunset
I’m convinced we have the best sunsets! Varied, long lasting, breathtakingly beautiful. This moment was peaceful, colorful and inspiring. As an artist, I’m a relentless observer of all things in life, but especially the natural world. As a surfer, I’ve been assimilating the experiences of a lifetime always trying to be in the right place at the right time to get the best waves. All this has taught me to not miss what is about to happen. Like a photographer, I catch myself moving a few inches in some direction to get just the right composition. As a painter, I have the option of moving some design component to make the painting more interesting, successful or dramatic. It’s my job to paint both the subtle and the sublime. I love my job!
