Crinkle Wave #3
For the most part I consider myself a representational artist, but I give myself the freedom to experiment and not just paint what can become rote over time. In other words, I frequently take time to explore different techniques and approaches to my watercolors.
Soooo. If after some initial painting you soak the watercolor paper in water, wad it into a ball and then flattening it back out and continue painting on it this is what you get. I call them “crinkle” paintings because they remind me of the crinkle cookies my wife makes.
