Just Drifting Through

The difference between the soft ethereal atmosphere and the hard, broken and battered tree is what cried out to be painted. So, in a way this is a study in contrasts. Hard and soft, cool and warm, clarity and mystery. Although very different in form, both trees in this watercolor reveal evidence of long lives lived by the edge of the sea.
