Description
For me, there’s something special about the sun setting through the salty air on our beautiful coast. As a painter, the moods and atmosphere of the area play a large part in my inspiration, especially when combined with the strong graphic elements of the rugged landscape. It’s subtle and powerful at the same time.
I incorporated several “V’s” into this composition, starting with the foreground trees and continuing in the interplay of distant land and sky. Additionally the shape and direction of the limbs mimic the top of the points and rocks. These design decisions unify the composition hopefully making it seems harmonious.
