Description
The beginning and end of each day brings a rich golden light that easily inspires me no matter what it illuminates. I was fortunate to be in the right place for one of those moments, with my camera in hand, at North Head on the southern coast of Washington State. I knew the warm light wouldn’t last long and quickly shot several photos for future reference.
The title comes from two sources- that fleeting light right before sunset, and the fact that North Head Lighthouse was the last one built on our rugged Pacific Northwest coast well over 100 years ago now.
There is a warm spot in my heart for this area because of the time spent painting there with one of my teachers over 30 years ago now.
