Storm Warning

As a painter, one of my favorite times is when the rich morning sunlight is shining on the foreground with a backdrop of dark clouds. I enjoy just being in the light and drinking in the moment. For me this painting captures those times of walking in the dunegrass with the wind at my back. The title “Storm Warning” comes from the several signs of the approaching weather. The large ocean swell, gulls getting blown about, the direction of the wind, and of course the dark curtain of clouds. It hasn’t started to rain yet but it will before the day is done.
