When I first moved to Cannon Beach and started painting watercolors I was drawn creatively to the nice sunny days and of course our breathtaking sunsets. Every time I painted something depicting the atmosphere or mood most of us associate with the coast, it received a lot of attention and often sold quickly. While I was a little late to the party, over time I’ve grown to love and appreciate the wonder of everything this beautiful place has to offer. Honestly, I pay a lot more attention to the subtleties and nuance than I used to as I think it’s probably what watercolor does best when it’s done right.
