Standing Still
Standing still or still standing? Actually, both. We all need and have times when we pause long enough to drink in the peace of a moment. Inspiration struck as I was climbing back up the path on an evening with just enough smoke in the air to bathe the cool coastal air below in warmth. Our pacific coast trees have so much character and often inspire me creatively. Thinking about the force required to snap a tree limb helps me appreciate what they endure living on the edge like they do. Their brokenness is what gives them character.
