This watercolor was painted for the “Earth & Ocean Arts Festival” in September 2021.
Inspired by countless walks along our coastline, I chose this moody late summer sunset knowing it would capture the feeling I was after and included the foreground limb and these colorful leaves for their sheer beauty and availability from my neighbor’s maple tree after a recent windstorm. Everything reminded me of those special moments of calm we all relish and need.
100% of the sale of this original was donated to the local environmental non-profits associated with this event. They are North Coast Land Conservancy, Wildlife Center of the North Coast, Friends of Haystack Rock, Sea Turtles Forever and Friends of Cape Falcon Marine Reserve.
